Stated Supply Pastor

The Rev. Gretchen Denton is currently serving as Pastor at St. Paul’s.  Gretchen has served in several congregations in the Presbytery of Detroit in temporary pastoral positions and enjoys assisting congregations and their leadership in moving through the ordinary transitions of church life.  “These times of transition can be periods of exciting change and growth,” Gretchen explains, “and I enjoy being part of assisting with that growth.”

The Rev. Denton, who received her divinity degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio, uses the lectionary readings and approaches each Sunday morning text in search of the good news.  Recently, St. Paul’s moved through the Advent-Christmas season with an emphasis on waiting with hope and celebrating the birth of Jesus with gratitude.
